VMI Honda Northstar E

Vantage Mobility International (VMI) has added a new handicap accessible vehicle to their lineup, the Honda Pilot featuring their Northstar E Manual In-Floor Ramp. This is VMI’s first SUV and can accommodate a variety of manual and large power wheelchairs. The manual ramp system is 32” wide with a 55.5” door opening, making for easy access and less ducking or tilting. Once you are inside the VMI Honda Pilot you’ll have plenty of headroom at 58” or more depending on the vehicle features. VMI has their Access 360° standard on all their vehicles to increase maneuverability inside the vehicle, this makes for a comfortable ride and safe entering and exiting of the vehicle.

The VMI Honda Pilot’s in-floor ramp allows for other passengers to exit the vehicle on the ramp access side without having to deploy the ramp to increase overall safety. Along with this safety feature, the VMI Honda Pilot is 100% crash tested and meets or exceeds all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. There are multiple configurations to allow a wheelchair user to ride in the front passenger or mid passenger position, as well as accommodate two wheelchairs.

All around the new Honda Pilot from VMI looks to be a game changer in the mobility industry. VMI has over 500 dealers nationwide who are certified to work on their vehicles, so no matter where you are there’s a certified dealer nearby to help with any questions. They are also part of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association, and are part of the Manufacturer's Quality Assurance Program. Ensuring the highest standards are going into each vehicle produced by VMI.
